Based out of Wilmington, North Carolina, Salvación began with the distinct vision of creating traditional heavy metal, devoid of pretentious rock star egos and flashy gimmicks. Salvación conjures up the raw unadulterated energy and passion of true heavy metal. From the beginning drummer, Carlos Denogean, and vocalist, Nick Sponsel, aimed to craft memorable fist pumping, foot stomping, head banging metal songs. With the addition of guitarist Jeff Corkery and bass player, Jay Cronley, the band has refined their sound, and established themselves as a force to be reckoned with onstage. Although only formed in 2009, Salvación is the product of years of hard work by the individual members in their local music scene. Salvación is not some novelty act trying to revive the superficial days of hair metal, but a band that wears their hearts on their sleeves, and puts everything they have into their music. Salvación is a true reminder of what made metal great in it's glory days.
