Less so the selection of additional "expanded" material. I remember feeling exactly the same way about the material added to the end of Close To The Edge. Most of it is studio nonsense, the band trying to figure out what the final sound is going to be like. As someone who has been there, that is often a slow and tedious process that some band members enjoy but most only find it to be tedious hard work. To me it's the same listening back to it.Honestly, instead of trying to fill the full 74 minutes with a lot of nonsense few people want to listen to, I've been much happier if you would just stuck with the original 39 minutes of material and released it that way.The additional selections, particularly the first two do not Segway well at all with the original material. With that said I would say that the remastering of this wonderful album from 1977 is at least as good as the best I am familiar with and certainly far better than some. I love this album but it has been quite a while since I've heard it and it's great to be able to listen to it again on demand.
